All task seating at our 295 location is CarbonNeutral^® certified, a credential offered by our partner Steelcase. Offering more carbon neutral seating allows customers to make similar investments to complement their work to reduce emissions. Steelcase works with Climate Impact Partners to identify these high-impact, verified environmentally-sustainable projects. Climate Impact Partners originally established a carbon neutral protocol in 2002 and are the founding members of the International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance. Sustainability at Heritage South

Our Burnaby location utilizes products from our previous location, including ancillary furniture, workstations and carpet tiles. Our sustainable services are showcased at this location, including reupholstery and pre-owned furniture sales. This location also utilizes sensor lighting in order to save energy, and offers recycling and compost for employees working in the space.

Sustainable Operations

Sustainability at Heritage Kent

At our distribution centre in South Vancouver, we employ a large scale recycling program, including cardboard, plastics and electronics. All offices at this location are furnished with refurbished products, a service we also offer to our clients, doing all we can to divert used product from the landfill. The furniture we are unable to repurpose is broken down into its smallest components for recycling, where possible.

Our distribution centre is also committed to dispatching efficiencies, planning our trucking and delivery routes to minimize miles travelled, ensuring routes are designed to reduce travel distances and idle times, significantly cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions and supporting our commitment to environmental sustainability.
